Art in a phone box!

The Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival begins today, 3rd May, and once again MECOPP Gypsy/Traveller Carers Project is delighted to be involved. This year’s artwork is an installation of poetry, collage, drawing and photography in the Porty Light Box in Portobello Edinburgh. Contributors this year include Katrina Stewart, Sharon MacKenzie and Lacey Morrison.

Porty Light Box is a converted traditional public telephone box that sits at the junction of Portobello High Street and Bellfield Street at the eastern end of Portobello. At night the artworks are backlit so that passersby can see them too.

The Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival has a wide ranging programme of events, both online and in the physical world, to find out more go to www.mhfestival.com/whats-on. SMHAF 2021 continues until 23rd May.
