Standards of Service

MECOPP is committed to delivering the highest standard of support and service that we can. This leaflet sets out what you can expect from us and what we need from you to help us do this.

You can expect:

  • To be treated with dignity and respect at all times.

  • To have your views and experiences listened to.

  • To have a ‘named’ worker who will advise you and act on your behalf if you agree to this.

  • To be provided with information to enable you to make informed decisions on things that affect you.

  • To be referred to another organisation if we do not have the necessary expertise.

  • To have your communication needs supported if we have the language ability inside the organisation.

  • To have your personal information treated confidentially and not shared outside of MECOPP without your permission.

  • To raise any concerns you have without fear of being treated unfairly.

What we need from you:

  • To treat our staff with the same level of courtesy and respect that we show you.

  • To share all relevant information with us that will help us to understand your individual circumstances and identify how we can support you.

  • To inform us as quickly as is reasonably possible of any changes to your circumstances that might affect how we support you.

  • To inform us if another organisation is involved in your support so we do not duplicate each other.

  • To understand that we will respond to you as quickly as we can within working hours and the working week.

  • To respect that our staff will not share personal contact details so please do not ask.

MECOPP reserves the right to withdraw support if any of our staff experience any form of verbal or written abuse either in person, by telephone, email or text.

You can find out more about the services we provide on our website at www.mecopp.org.uk or we can send you a copy of our leaflet.
