Rehab Eltayeb

Arabic Speaking Carer Development & Support Worker

I am passionate about both diversity and helping people. My first degree was in Business Management which gave me the chance to work as an Executive Manager for an Italian company working in the Sudan.

I took a career break to care for my child who has additional support needs and then moved to Scotland for a fresh start for me and my children.

I enjoy learning new skills and have a Diploma in Interior Design and a post-graduate degree in Hospitality and Events.

I also enjoy travelling and have spent time in Europe, Asian and Arabic countries, enjoying different cultures and appreciating human diversity.

I also volunteered for the Action Group which offers support to carers of children and young people with additional support needs.

I am now very excited about my new post in MECOPP and am inspired to establish a sustainable pathway for Arabic service users in Edinburgh.
