Olivia Nathan

National Training & Capacity Building Officer

I joined the MECOPP team in November 2022. It’s my role to deliver training and build capacity for Carer Centers, health and social care staff and other interested organisations across Scotland. The aim is to increase staff and volunteers confidence, knowledge and skills in working with BME Carers and carers with other protected characteristics for greater equity of access.

Working for over 10 years as a freelance trainer and therapeutic facilitator my work has focussed on organisational culture, community participation, reparations and equality, diversity and inclusion - with a focus in disability justice within the climate justice field. I hold a Master’s in Public Health and Policy from Queen Mary University London and over 7 years training and practice in Process work facilitation.

Outside of MECOPP I am a professional Singer and Choir leader with a special interest in Georgian folk music.
