Margaret Chiwanza

CEO of MECOPP

I joined MECOPP in 2013 as a registered care manager and took a short break to gain other experiences elsewhere prior to re-joining the organisation in 2017. I took up the CEO role in November 2018.

I have 22+ years’ experience of working in health and social care both in England and Scotland. My professional background is in nursing, project development and management. My educational background is varied, having gained a degree in nursing and another in palliative care at the University of Worcester, I then went on to undertake post graduate studies in strategic communications and public relations at Queen Margaret University.

I have the overall responsibility for the organisation, and I truly believe in MECOPP ethos. I’m very much committed to delivering successful outcomes to all our stakeholders.

In my spare time I enjoy socialising with family and friends, going to the gym and travelling.
