Is the Gypsy/Traveller Development Worker for North and Mid Argyll

I joined MECOPP in 2014 as a Development Worker with the Gypsy/Traveller Carers’ Project - my role will be to work with and support Gypsy/Traveller carers across the North Argyll and Mid Argyll areas.

I studied at the University of Strathclyde and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Community Education.  Since graduating I have worked mainly in support work, with young people, adults and families affected by homelessness and related issues. Before joining MECOPP, I worked for Carr Gomm as a Housing Support Worker, supporting people who were homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.   Prior to that, I worked as a Project Worker in a supported accommodation and outreach project for young people and young parents experiencing housing difficulties and homelessness.

When I’m not at work I like to be outdoors, hill walking, cycling or running.   I also love live music and very much enjoy going to concerts and music festivals.
