Is the SDS Development Worker
I joined MECOPP in October of 2018 on a term basis to fill the role of Self-Directed Support (SDS) Development Worker. Originally from Winnipeg, Canada, I most recently worked as a Hospital Social Worker after graduating with my Bachelor of Social Work in 2014 from the University of Manitoba. I also have experience providing direct care support to individuals with learning disabilities. My passion and enthusiasm for social change led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Social and Public Policy at the University of Leeds from 2017-2018. Having recently relocated to Edinburgh, I am now keen to engage with local Minority Ethnic communities to raise awareness surrounding SDS and to ensure individuals are receiving the support they need. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, dining out, and travelling to new places.
