prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls, and will consider how this affects women and girls in Scotland.

CHILDCARE Practitioner
BALERNO OUT OF SCHOOL CLUB
22 hours/week during 38 weeks term time + full time hours on certain In-Service Days. (N.B. There is an opportunity for additional full time hours during school holidays within our other childcare services throughout Edinburgh if the successful candidate is interested.)
Salary from £7.00 per hour dependant on qualification.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver a high quality out of school care service based in Balerno, Edinburgh. Applicants must hold or have the ability to work towards a relevant qualification at SVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have experience of working with children.

N.B. Applicants for childcare posts must be eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme, along with clearing The Scottish Government’s security criteria.

A funding award from the Creative Breaks Fund.
In December 2012 Support in Mind Scotland was pleased to announce a funding award from the Creative Breaks Fund. As a pilot project, managed in partnership with the Princess Royal Trust for Scotland, this funding scheme will enable carers of people with serious mental health problems, including dementia, to apply for financial assistance towards a break of their choosing which will help benefit them personally.The Fund is open to anyone over 18 years of age and there will be two opportunities to apply.

Midlothian Community Hospital Gardens
Mondays 10.30am
Starts Monday 11th March
Short walk led by Ageing Well volunteer walk leaders
followed by a spot of gardening with Daisy, the Garden Coordinator.
Meet at the front entrance of the hospital
Take those first steps to a healthier lifestyle and meet new people.
The walks last for 30 minutes and are suitable for most abilities. Please ensure that you wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear for walking and gardening.
